Your generous support has enabled us to develop Kimbilio significantly since 2009, and we now run four homes for street children, as well as a vital outreach centre.
In January 2016 we completed our most recent building project, a second permanent home known as Maison Janet Bokwa. This will provide a loving home for up to 12 street girls, and is located on Kimbilio’s rural 10 acre plot. This new house will offer the ideal setting for girls to overcome their experiences on the streets.
- Redevelopment of our Boys Transit House: Our two transit homes offer a temporary retreat for children, whilst we work to relocate their families from across Congo. Our Boys Transit House is typically Congolese in style, and would benefit from modernisation including the redevelopment of the toilet and washing facilities. This will make it a more pleasant and inviting home for the children.
- Perimeter Fence: Following the successful completion of Maison Janet Bokwa, building a fence to ensure the security of the property, girls and carers is our next priority.
